No doubt in my mind the mainstream church has left it's First Love...

The loss of our love for Jesus is causing the church to be luke-warm and apathetic to the Great Commission.

I have discovered that when we don’t feel loved we don’t give a flying flip about anyone. As a result we become careless with our behavior. Therefore, apathy becomes our default mindset.

The Apostle John speaks for God saying...

"But I have this against you, that you have left your first love".  and "so, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth."

Where is the mainstream church's sense of urgency for lost souls? Does it exist anymore? An even more important question is, do we really know how to love others as Jesus loves us? I believe it would be much easier for us to love others if we really know how much Jesus loves us. Jesus said "there is no greater love than when a person lays down their life for a friend".  Isn't that what Jesus did for us on the cross? Where is our appreciation and gratitude for His ultimate sacrifice?
